Exterior Signs That Build Visibility and Trust

Your sign is the first thing a customer judges you on and the last thing they use to find you. We design, fabricate and install storefront, building, monument and window signage across Southwest Ohio.

Exterior & Storefront Signs by Brand 513 Collective in Lebanon, Ohio

In short: Brand 513 Collective designs, fabricates and installs exterior signage for Southwest Ohio businesses — including storefront and building signs, dimensional letters, monument and post signs, window graphics, and directional signage. We handle design, permitting guidance and installation from our Lebanon, Ohio shop.

The signage most businesses need

Storefront and fascia signs — the primary sign above your door, lit or unlit.
Dimensional letters and logos — cut acrylic, PVC or metal that stands off the wall and reads as premium from the street.
Monument and post signs — freestanding signage at the road for businesses set back from it.
Window graphics and lettering — hours, services, logo and privacy frost.
Directional and wayfinding signs — parking, entrances, suite numbers.
Panel and insert replacements — new faces for an existing cabinet or multi-tenant sign.

Designed to be read at speed

A sign that looks great on a screen can be unreadable at 40 mph from 150 feet. We design for the actual viewing distance and approach speed of your location — letter height, contrast, and how much copy the sign can carry before it stops working.

The rule most shops ignore: one inch of letter height per 10 feet of viewing distance is the absolute minimum, and you want double that if traffic is moving. We would rather talk you out of cramming three services onto a sign than sell you something nobody can read.

Permits, landlords and code

Most Southwest Ohio municipalities regulate sign size, height, illumination and placement, and many shopping centers have their own tenant criteria on top of that. We help you figure out what your location actually allows before you fall in love with a design, and we prepare the drawings and specs your permit application needs.

FAQ

Exterior & Storefront Signs — Questions We Get Asked

Straight answers to what people actually ask us.

How long does a storefront sign take from start to finish?

Plan on 3 to 6 weeks for a typical exterior sign. Roughly one week for design and approval, one to three weeks for permitting depending on the municipality, one to two weeks for fabrication, and a day for installation. Window graphics and non-permitted signage move much faster — often under two weeks.

Do I need a permit for my sign in Southwest Ohio?

Most permanent exterior signs require a permit, and requirements differ by city — Lebanon, Mason, Loveland and Milford each have their own sign codes, and unincorporated Warren County differs again. Temporary signage and interior window graphics often do not. We will tell you which category your project falls into before you commit.

Can you just replace the face on our existing sign?

Yes, and it is usually the most cost-effective option. If your cabinet, frame or monument structure is sound, we can print and install a new face or panel for a fraction of the cost of a new sign.

What is the difference between a channel letter sign and dimensional letters?

Channel letters are individually lit — each letter is its own illuminated housing. Dimensional letters are solid cut letters (acrylic, PVC or metal) mounted off the wall without internal lighting, often paired with an external light bar. Dimensional letters cost considerably less and look excellent on well-lit storefronts; channel letters win when your sign has to work after dark on a dark facade.
